Iosynth offers a large catalog of highly pure and active R&D enzymes for a variety of different substrates and reactions. Almost all of these enzymes are fully scalable and are available to ton scale.
Screening kits for enzymes are a quick and easy way to identify suitable enzymes for particular reaction.
Initial screening is usually done at mg level, and only promising enzyme candidates will then be taken forward.

Many enzymes used for industrial biocatalysis require a cofactor for the enzyme to be catalytically active. These cofactors are not consumed but converted in the reaction. In combination with cofactor recycling enzymes, these cofactors can be reused. This combination of enzyme plus cofactor plus cofactor recycling enzyme is an efficient way of designing a biocatalytic enzyme reaction.
